Iggy Wiggy and her IGS
This is an adaptation of the The Tortoise and the Hare.
In the well-known Aesop’s fable, we remember that ‘slow and steady’ win the race, and in this retelling we also sees the value in taking time to stop and listen to our hearts when we have a decision to make.
Iggy Wiggy the pig has a best friend that she speaks to all the time. Her friend lives inside her heart. Iggy can’t see her but when she sits very still something special happens. Iggy’s heart starts to fizz and glow. It’s the best feeling in the whole wide world, and when Iggy feels this, she knows that her friend is saying hello to her.
This friend is super-wise and loves Iggy very very much. She always wants to help Iggy with her problems. She is Iggy’s Internal Guiding System, so Iggy calls her IGS for short.
Iggy is the most laid-back, relaxed creature that you could ever meet. She likes to wander peacefully through her days and take her time doing things. So when she is chosen to compete against Rush Ton—the super-fast athletic gazelle—in the Big Race, she really needs to call on her IGS for help.
